- 82% of respondents over the age of 35 agreed with this statement compared with 72% between the ages of 18-35.

- Women were more likely to agree with this statement (79%) than men (67%)
- 79% of participants over the ages 36 and above agreed with this statement while only 62% of those under the age of 36 did.

Five years ago, 58% of our respondents attended church or a place of worship about once a week
- 65% of women agreed with this statement compared with 47% of men
- Participants ages 36 and above agree more with this statement (60%) than those between the ages of 18-35 (50%)
- Those who had attended college agreed more with this statement (62%) than those who had no college experience (51%).
- More participants whose annual household income level was above $50,000 agreed with this statement (63%) than those with households earning less than $50,000 annually (53%).

- Respondents under the age of 35 agreed more with this statement (51%) than those ages 36 and above (46%).

18% of our participants feel that conversations between an American and a non-American should have different legal protections than conversations between two Americans.
- Men were more than twice as likely to agree with this statement (27%) than women (13%).

The statement “The government’s responsibility to protect the American people from terrorism is greater than their responsibility to constitutional law” divided our participants:
- 37% of our respondents agree with this statement, 35% disagreed with it and 29% were neutral
- Women were more likely to agree with this statement (38%) than men (34%).
- Participants with college experience were more likely to agree with this statement (37%) than those who had not taken any college coursework (29%).
- 41% of respondents with an annual household income level below $50,000 agreed with this statement compared with 32% of those with an annual household income level above $50,000.

The statement “The government’s responsibility to constitutional law is greater than their responsibility to protect the American people from terrorism” divided our participants:
- 40% of our respondents agreed with this statement, 32% were neutral and 28% disagreed with the statement.
- 42% of women agreed with this statement compared with 38% of men
- Respondents who had not completed any college coursework were more likely to agree with this statement (46%) than those who have had college experience (36%).
- Those with an annual household income level of less than $50,000 agreed more with this statement (45%) than those with a household income level of more than $50,000 annually (34%)
